Jones caught two passes for 16 yards on three targets in Saturday's preseason opener against the 49ers. More significant than the statistics, Jones worked as the No. 3 wide receiver, ahead of Marlon Brown. With Torrey Smith locked in as the No. 1, and Steve Smith likely to get the second-most snaps, Jones and Brown are jockeying for whatever's left. The Ravens will likely try to find roles for both Jones and Brown, as Steve Smith won't necessarily be an every-down player, and the team could split up the No. 3 duties.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports WR/KR Jacoby Jones will visit the Giants. Baltimore is still interested in Jones, but they are unlikely to pay him the $4 million he earned in 2013. Jones will not find that kind of money in New York, but taking a few visits will give him the opportunity to gauge his market. Wherever he lands, Jones will be nothing more than a special teams player and situational wide receiver in 2014.

The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson reports the Ravens have tabled an offer for free agent WR/KR Jacoby Jones. Baltimore is interested in resigning Jones, but nothing is imminent. The Ravens are unlikely to offer Jones the $4 million he collected in 2013, so he may be interested in testing his value on the open market. He will be nothing more than a special teams player and situation wide receiver in 2014.

The Ravens are interested in re-signing free agent WR/KR Jacoby Jones, "depending upon his salary demands." Per the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens would "likely" balk at paying Jones the $4 million he collected in 2013 via salary and a bonus. The Ravens likely no longer envision Jones as a potential starting wide receiver, and would prefer to pay him special teams money. Jones turns 30 years old before next season.

New Ravens OC Gary Kubiak insists he has a "great relationship" with impending free agent Jacoby Jones. It was Kubiak's Texans who released Jones in May 2012. "I don't want to say I was like a father figure to him, but he was like one of my children," Kubiak said, perhaps protesting too much. "I'm so proud of the man he's become, as well as the player. I look forward to seeing him." Jones has failed time and again as a No. 2/3 receiver, but remains an effective deep threat and return specialist. The Ravens should make a bid to keep him, but won't overpay.

Jacoby Jones was held to one catch for 11 yards in Baltimore's Week 16 loss to the Patriots. Jones drew only four targets in what was his worst game of the season. Jones entered Week 16 having notched at least four catches in four consecutive games. He'll need 56 yards in Week 17 to get over the 500-yard threshold for 2013.

Jacoby Jones caught six passes for 80 yards in Week 15 versus the Lions. Jones finished with nine targets, three fewer than Torrey Smith, but led the Ravens in catches and yards. His big catch was a 27-yard hookup over the middle that he nearly scooted through the defense with for a touchdown. Jones added another 84 yards on three returns. He's a WR4 in non-return-yards leagues.

Jacoby Jones caught four passes for 37 yards in Baltimore's Week 14 win over the Vikings, adding a 77-yard touchdown on a fourth-quarter kick return. It was a monster all-purpose effort from Jones, who finished with 229 total yards. Of course, Jones has still failed to eclipse four catches on the season, and has only one touchdown since Week 6. He's a borderline WR4 in leagues that don't count return yardage.
