Young compiled five tackles and a strip-sack in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. Young was curiously quiet in last week's loss to the Packers despite receiving an appointment to the starting lineup while Jared Allen (pneumonia) was sidelined, but he turned in another sterling performance coming off the bench in Week 5. The forced fumble was his first of the season, while the sack was his team-leading fifth. Young's immense contributions have helped the Bears cover for the disappointing performance to date of pricey defensive ends Jared Allen and Lamarr Houston, both of whom are still without a sack on the season.
