The Union-Tribune San Diego's pre-camp Chargers 53-man roster projection has the team keeping three tailbacks, none of which is Curtis Brinkley. Rookie Edwin Baker also misses the cut in beat reporter Michael Gehlken's final 53 projection. We did some tape work on Brinkley over the offseason and were not impressed with his physical skills. It makes sense that -- behind Ryan Mathews -- the Chargers would keep Ronnie Brown and Jackie Battle over him.
