The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Eagles OLB Trent Cole is "destined to be jettisoned" this offseason. In other words, Cole is expected to be released. The 31-year-old is due a $5 million salary, and all of his guaranteed money is off the books. We wouldn't be so quick to write Cole off. He started all 16 games, recorded eight sacks, and was nails as a run defender -- grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 2 3-4 run-stopping outside linebacker. The Eagles could choose to keep Cole around for another season before his salary soars to $10 million in 2015.
