The Patriots will decline to pick up their contract option on Revis, ESPN.com reports. If they had, Revis would have been slated to count $25 million against the team's salary cap in 2015, so the move was not unexpected in the absence of a contract extension. Unless the two sides come to a new agreement before Tuesday afternoon, Revis is on track to hit NFL free agency, and while the Patriots would clearly like to bring him back, they'll have plenty of competition for Revis' services in such a scenario.
