The Colts have picked up their fifth-year option on Luck's contract with the team, ESPN.com reports. Such an outcome was essentially a forgone conclusion, but the move ensures that Luck -- who led the NFL in TD passes (40) in 2014 and was third in passing yards (4,761), will be under contract with the Colts through the 2016 season. Down the road, of course, the 25-year-old signal-caller is candidate to earn a lucrative extension from the organization, but at this stage, the team doesn't plan to address that situation until after the 2015 campaign.
