The 49ers have signed Wheeler to a one-year deal, the 49ers' official site reports. Wheeler, who racked up 118 tackles for Miami in 2013, saw his production dip in 2014, to the tune of 46 tackles in 15 games, including four starts. He'll bolster a 49ers' inside linebacker corps that also currently rosters the likes of NaVorro Bowman, Michael Wilhoite, Desmond Bishop, Nick Moody, Nick Bellore and Shayne Skov.
