Tamme has an early lead in the Falcons' tight end competition, Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Tamme signed with Atlanta after spending the previous three years with the Broncos and appears to be the favorite to start at tight end in the early going. While he was stuck playing behind Julius Thomas in his last two seasons with Denver, Tamme still has had two seasons in his career with 50-plus receptions and would bring some veteran experience to the Falcons' offensive attack. Fellow offseason acquisition Tony Moeaki has also impressed head coach Dan Quinn early on, while last season's starter Levine Toilolo appears to be destined for a blocking role in 2015.
