Stanton said Tuesday that he'll be able to take part in all football activities during the offseason, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports. After suffering a sprained ACL and Grade 2 MCL sprain in Week 15, Stanton didn't helm the offense for the rest of the regular season and even required surgery to combat an infection on Dec. 24. Heading into the playoffs, there was a belief within the Cardinals' organization that he may be able to suit up, if the team emerged victorious in the Wild Card round. Alas, that didn't come to pass, and coach Bruce Arians was required to trust in Ryan Lindley due to the absence of Carson Palmer (knee). With offseason workouts underway, Stanton admitted that he may take a cautious approach with his conditioning, but if Palmer's recovery from a torn ACL is at all delayed, Stanton is the clear option to fill in as the No. 1 signal caller.
