Spiller (knee), who is officially listed as questionable, will likely play in Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, but he may be limited to red-zone work, according to Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times Picayune.
EDGE Analysis
This is merely one beat writer's opinion, but she did say that she "strongly thinks" Spiller will play, albeit in a limited role. Another one of the Saints' beat writers, ESPN's Mike Triplett, also believes Spiller will play, although Triplett said it's no sure thing. Spiller and Saints head coach Sean Payton hinted at a similar outlook, expressing optimism but no guarantees. Fortunately for Spiller's owners, the Saints and Bucs have a 1 PM ET kickoff, allowing for plenty of alternatives if he's inactive. Of course, those alternatives may be worth a look even if Spiller plays, as it sounds like he'll be eased into the offense.

My GUESS is that Spiller has plays designed specifically and solely for him in this offense. Saints RBs caught a whopping 13 passes last week. I don't think he needs a high snap-count in this offense to yield fantasy dividends. If he's on the field at all for a down, odds are he's already planned as the first or second read.

Limited to red zone work against the Bucs, hmmmm is he worth the gamble or not?

yeah this is gamble.. if he decides to play today then you know how brees like to throw out screen pass like he did to sproles on the red zone. this will be similar with c.j spiller. he will make some good yards and touch. i have a feeling he can make one or two touchdown. i recalled sproles did make two touchdown that night. also remember the game is at new orleans on their first home advantage so you know how fans are gonna be like f*** crazy. c.j spiller likes showdown. i also like khiry robinson too. watch him out too. i put both starter as for now because i believe both of them will touch and run good yards. khiry robinson had 70 yards week one.

I got to start Spiller or Tre Mason. Cant decide what to do. Probably do Mason but man Spiller could get me lots of points.

Spiller hasn't had any touches through pre season or regular season. The choice is yours. Is rather play a guy that's for sure then one that hasn't been on the field for a while. Good luck
