Smith got plenty of work in Saturday's preseason victory over Chicago, completing 20 of 30 passes for 181 yards and rushing twice for 25 while playing the whole first half.
EDGE Analysis
Kansas City generated 13 points in the first half while moving the ball mostly through the air. Smith showed a solid rapport with top weapons Jeremy Maclin (five catches for 44 yards) and Travis Kelce (three catches for 37 yards), and should be ready to reprise his steady game-manager role for the Chiefs in 2016.
