After taking a pay cut this offseason in an effort to stay with the Texans, an underwhelming preseason performance has sent Shorts out the door. He was ultimately beat out by wideout Keith Mumpery, who had an impressive preseason. Shorts could still get looks from other teams who are looking to add veteran depth at the wide receiver position.
