Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Lynch (abdomen) will be "on the more positive side of questionable" for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even though he missed the entire week of practice, Lynch will be listed as questionable and will likely come down to a game-time decision for a second straight week, though it appears his status isn't quite so cloudy this time around. Despite reportedly dealing with significant pain, Lynch ended up playing 48 of the 61 offensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals, though the game flow limited his workload to eight carries and one reception. He did look like his usual self on the limited touches, plowing through would-be tacklers with authority. Given the combination of talent and matchup, Lynch should improve on last week's yardage total, assuming he does indeed suit up.
Is anyone else but me sick of the injury reports on this guy? Last week, all weekend leading up to game time he was highly questionable, to the point on Sunday reports were saying the team "was not planning on having him for the game." Then he miraculously plays and looks as if nothing's wrong with him. I get it, the guy's a tough guy and goes out and plays injured but so do a lot of other players in the league, but there aren't injury reports every week basically saying they're not going to play and they somehow end up playing.
yup, I'm in a dynasty league, had him for three straight years on my roster, same every week... lock up Rawls as your back up ..... if both are active, use Lynch......if Lynch cant play, Rawls can be full beast mode also....
I had Rawls when Lynch was out and Rawls put up that good game. But needed the roster spot when Lynch came back, and had to drop Rawls, and now someone already picked Rawls up. Oh well, hopefully I won't be needing Rawls in the playoffs.
At mid season every NFL RB is nursing injuries. A 29 year old RB with 10000 yards who never met a defender he did not want to run over? These guys carry their injuries a lifetime. They are going to be on the injury report till they end their careers. The injury report is a league requirement. Teams must report missed practices and the possibility of missed game time. As mentioned above, Lynch has been listed nearly every week for years. It has increased a bit this season, but that should be expected at this point- age, production and playing style. Add in the Seahawks O-line is bad. He is working harder and taking more hits.
Last week Pete Carroll stated on Friday he expected Lynch to play. Just as he has made a similar reference this week. As with all injured players the risk he misses the game is there. He could hobble off after a few touches. The game flow could create a situation where he plays less. Is it frustrating? Hell yes, but at this point it is no longer a surprise!
The guy is beat up and worn out. There is nothing to gain leaving his last few miles on the practice field. He knows his assignments. He is simply spending what little he has left in live action.
Because he will be injured for life. He will be questionable to perform long after he stops reporting to the Seahawks, the NFL and the fantasy owners. One of the hardest thing a man has to ever face is "diminished abilities". I am certain it is even more depressing to the elite athlete as it is for the average Joe. Some of you are still to young to know old injuries accumulate and then revisit during your later years. Later years come early for an NFL RB. You young guys will understand better as your own star begins to fade. Yes there will be a day you will watch what you do today in order to perform your best tomorrow. Get in shape, stay in shape that your star continues to shine much longer.

Stop complaining, every single week there's someone complaining about the injury report.

The guy is old and doesn't like to practice, but he always seems to play anyway. Can't blame him I guess.

Okay, that's fine. Then why does have an injury every week, and reports that he's not going to play, then he miraculously play?
