Saints re-signed QB Luke McCown to a one-year contract. McCown, 33 in July, has attempted just one pass since 2011. He has a 2-7 career record and 68.3 passer rating. McCown was mentioned as a possible replacement for Shaun Hill as Matthew Stafford's backup in Detroit to help install OC Joe Lombardi's offense. He'll return for another year as Drew Brees' No. 2.
