Romo (collarbone) is leaning toward undergoing a Mumford procedure on his left clavicle, The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Romo said back in January that he'd likely have the surgery, with a final decision coming in late February or early March. The Mumford procedure would shave off a portion of his distal clavicle, as opposed to another surgical option that would attach a plate over the area. Both procedures have an expected recovery period of six-to-eight weeks, which means Romo still has some time to make a decision. Either way, the Cowboys hope to have him ready for OTAs in May.
