Robinson secured three of six targets for 70 yards in Thursday's 17-6 preseason loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Despite the unfavorable result for the team, Robinson thrived through the air once again and enjoyed additional opportunity once Julio Jones went down with a first-quarter ankle injury. Robinson has outperformed presumed the pair receivers immediately above him on the depth chart, Mohamed Sanu and Justin Hardy, over the last two weeks, amassing 188 yards on six receptions. The SMU product has certainly shown plenty of downfield chops over his three-year career, having averaged over 20 yards per reception over the 2012-13 seasons in Washington. Robinson was out of the NFL last season after a summer 2015 release by the Ravens, but looks highly likely to secure a roster spot on a Falcons receiving corps that is not overly deep beyond All-Pro Julio Jones.
