Eugene Sims received the start since Quinn hadn't suited up since Week 4 due to a shoulder injury. With the Rams on bye in Week 8, though, it seemed the Los Angeles coaching staff was comfortable with almost exclusively deploying Quinn during obvious passing situations and not much else. However, with a week of rest to look forward to, Quinn should enter Week 9's matchup against the Panthers healthier and ready for his usual allotment of playing time.
