Pierce had 93 carries for 366 yards and two touchdowns, adding two receptions for 13 yards, during the 2014 regular season. Pierce entered the year as a candidate to emerge as Baltimore's lead back, but it was Justin Forsett who ultimately filled that role. Forsett averaged 5.4 yards on 235 carries, while Pierce looked hopelessly lost much of the time, despite running behind an excellent offensive line. Though Forsett is set to become an unrestricted free agent, it will be surprising if Pierce is anything more than a backup in the final year of his rookie contract. If the Ravens can't retain Forsett, they'll likely look for outside help, or else turn the reigns over to 2014 fourth-round selection Lorenzo Taliaferro (foot). Pierce may need to compete for a roster spot.
