Olsen caught nine passes (on 13 targets) for 181 yards in Monday night's loss to the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
Olsen carried the Panthers' offense for portions of Monday night's game, giving fill-in quarterback Derek Anderson an ever-reliable target in Carolina's passing game. Whether lined up at tight end or split out as a receiver, Olsen seemingly had his way with the Tampa Bay defense, catching all different kinds of passes. In the end, his 181 receiving yards marked a new career-high for the 10-year veteran, and his nine catches served as a season-high. Although Olsen wasn't able to find the end zone, his fantasy owners should still be thrilled by his production thus far, as the 31-year-old now sports 33 catches on 52 targets for 516 yards and two scores through five games.
