McDonald (hip) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports.

McDonald's immediate availability is in flux due to a hip injury suffered in Week 3. After he was held out of Wednesday's practice, he was able to return Thursday, but Barrows noted that McDonald wasn't "moving around well" in the portion open to the media. While McDonald may receive a designation of questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, his status could come down to the wire.
