Jones was released by the Chargers last August and never caught on with another team. He spent eight of his nine seasons in Green Bay, including a 2012 campaign in which he had 14 touchdowns on only 64 receptions. He never had more than 817 receiving yards in a season, but his rapport with Aaron Rodgers in the red zone allowed him to score 51 times on 433 career catches (11.8 percent).
