Johnson rushed 18 times for 122 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's win over the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson topped the 100-yard mark for the third time already this season, a surprisingly development considering he didn't sign with the Cardinals until after training camp started. In fact, the 30-year-old's 122 yards Monday marked a season-high and included a winding 26-yard touchdown rush during the first quarter. Later on, Johnson broke a 62-yard gain, his longest rush since 2012, with a savvy balancing act in the second half Monday. Overall, it was another encouraging display from Johnson, who faces the Browns' battered rush defense in Week 8.

So it looks like fleaflickersupplies nfl.com with its pregame player stat projections. I have cj2k in a league here and the along with gates and Dion Lewis. Johnson has 7.7 in both leagues which seems unreasonably low against a terrible run d. Not that it matters. Then Lewis and gates are exactly one point different. Not 1.5 or 2.46. 1 point. So you provide them the info or slightly altered info. Pretty funny. Interesting they can't come up with their own data. C'mon man!

Chris Johnson rushed 18 times for 122 yards and one touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 7 win over the Ravens on Monday night.

A large chunk -- 62 yards to be exact -- came on a fluky run where the Ravens tackled Johnson for a very minimal gain, or so they thought. Johnson was sitting on NT Brandon Williams and wasn't down by contact. Everyone quit on the play except Johnson, and he got up and ran another 60-ish yards before being caught from behind. His most impressive run was a 26-yarder in the first quarter. It was a stretch run to the right that Johnson brought all the way back to the left while spinning off multiple tackles. He gets a cake matchup on the road against the Browns' awful run defense in Week 8. The Browns have allowed at least 100 total yards to one running back in every game this season. Is CJ a must start verses the Browns?

greggnotgreg Wed 10/28/15 1:02 PM

Special thanks to "competitive edge analysis"

TrenchWarrior1 Wed 10/28/15 4:13 PM

Depends on your options Outlaw, but he should do well I would think. I would expect the Cards to be in the lead and teams like to run in that position. McCown was dinged late last week so they could even start Manziel vs the Cards potent D. Johnson owners that missed the Monday night match up may be pleased to know that he was in the line up while the Cards were in the red zone. He actually had 4 0r 5 carries inside of the 5 yard line. DJ came in on 3rd down tries.

GIwarriors Wed 10/28/15 4:39 PM

CJ is a must start for me. I have no choice. Especially with Foster going out for the rest of the season. Now I have to start CJ, Beast Mode and Blount. My other RB's are Spiller and Antonio Andrews.

TheOutlaws Wed 10/28/15 6:36 PM

I've got Chris Johnson, Chris Ivory (questionable) @ Oakland, Jeremy Hill @ Pittsburgh, Latavius Murray (verses NY Jets) and Charcandrick West verses Detroit. Starting two at RB and one at flex.

TrenchWarrior1 Wed 10/28/15 6:41 PM

I think you got them in the right order Outlaw!

TheOutlaws Wed 10/28/15 7:40 PM

@TrenchWarrior1, Yeah, Ivory was at full practice today, this makes things easier. I'd rank West above Murray and was actually debating between Johnson and West who also has a great matchup against Detroit and seems to be the bell cow, Johnson worries me because of your earlier comment about D Johnson's red zone touches.

I'm just hoping that after his week 7 bye Jeremy Hill comes out strong and puts up similar production as he had at the end of last season.

CJ is playing like his first years in Tennessee. Why is NOBODY talking aboutvthe two ALLENS in Jax? No ESPN,no CBS Sports, nobody! They have byes this week, so they'll come back healthy. They have torn it UP for me. Bortles is strong, but their defense is dismal.

TheOutlaws Thu 10/29/15 7:02 AM

OldDad69, I have Robinson and Hurns. Second year WR's who are putting up solid numbers along with Bortles. Add Yeldon and J Thomas and you have the makings of a strong offense. The Jags could be a solid team in a couple of years if they build up the D.

TrenchWarrior1 Thu 10/29/15 9:30 AM

NFL network has mentioned the Jax WRs consistently. They even refer to them as the Allens. Both WRs have made multiple appearances on the top 10 and 20 list. As for others reporting on them? Who knows? It likely comes down to air time and catering to the biggest markets.

Start two in ppr league? Lacy @ Denver, L. Murry vs Jets, CJ2 @ Cleveland?

TheOutlaws Thu 10/29/15 5:58 PM

CJ2K/Lacy

TrenchWarrior1 Thu 10/29/15 6:09 PM

Check Lacy's injury status. That may solve your question for you. I think I would sit him vs Denver any way and go with the other 2. He has a foot injury/issue and has not played much this year. I would want to see something out of him first. An ongoing problem that may not be solved yet. Starks also has a hip injury/issue and missed practice this week. Those with long benches or a roster spot to gamble with may want to take a chance on Alonzo Harris, GB #3, RB.
