Johnson finished the 2015 regular season with only 12 tackles (five solo) and one sack in nine games played.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson missed a number of games due to a hamstring issue, but his production when healthy dropped off significantly from seasons past. Coming into the year, Johnson boasted at least 8.5 sacks in five straight campaigns, helping him compile the second-most sacks in Panthers team history. However, with Kony Ealy and Mario Addison improving, and Kawann Short emerging as an interior rusher, Johnson's role was reduced considerably this term. Moreover, the 29-year-old is a strong candidate to become a cap casualty this offseason, potentially giving him an opportunity to bounce back with another team next season.
