Hogan is initially listed atop the Browns' unofficial depth chart for Week 8 against the Jets, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The caveat is that Cody Kessler (concussion) and Josh McCown (collarbone) are both listed at the end of the depth chart in brackets, as neither has been cleared to play. It seems likely the Browns will have at least one of the two available, which would push Hogan back to a role as the No. 2 or 3 quarterback. However, there's perhaps some chance the Browns won't have Kessler or McCown -- in which case the rookie out of Stanford would get his first career start. Hogan replaced the concussed Kessler in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Bengals, piling up 104 yards and a score on the ground, but only completing 12 of 24 passes for 100 yards with two interceptions. When/if everyone is healthy, Hogan poses no threat to Kessler or McCown.
