Hillman could see snaps at running back if Melvin Gordon (hip) misses any time, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hillman hasn't even been active since joining the Chargers via waivers near the end of November, but Gehlken suggests the 25-year-old could end up sharing the load with undrafted rookie Kenneth Farrow if Gordon were to miss any time. While Farrow would presumably be the starter in the event Gordon is out, Hillman could still see his fair share of snaps, particularly in pass protection, as Farrow did allow a costly strip-sack in Sunday's loss to the Panthers. Fantasy owners should keep their eyes peeled on any news coming out of San Diego in the coming days in regards to the running back core, as the situation should develop some more clarity based on how Gordon is feeling throughout the week.
