Coach Ron Rivera revealed Friday that Fitzpatrick (hip) hadn't yet undergone an MRI to evaluate his progress, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

That clearly won't happen, and the lack of an update makes it seem like Week 8 might be a stretch.
