Hankerson (hamstring) has been placed on season-ending injured reserve, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

Hankerson emerged as a key part of the Atlanta offense early in the season, but he's been bothered by hamstring issues throughout much of the campaign. Devin Hester (toe), who was activated from short-term IR for the corresponding transaction, could help fill the void on offense, with Justin Hardy the other main candidate to take on an increased role. Hankerson is on a one-year contract with the Falcons.
