Original rumors claimed that the Dallas Cowboys were front-runners to sign Foles after backup quarterback Kellen Moore broke his ankle early in training camp, but the the Chiefs rose up as a suitor for Foles Wednesday evening and got the deal done. The fifth-year quarterback will likely back up Alex Smith in Kansas City, but has proven himself serviceable when called upon, throwing 53 touchdowns and 27 interceptions in 39 games over the course of his career.
