Cruz (calf) was a non-participant in practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Cruz's continued absence from drills isn't a surprise, as the Giants ensure that he avoids a setback with his left calf in this particular recovery effort. It's worth noting that his workload Thursday included straight-line sprints, according to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com. Coming one day removed from catching passes while jumping on steps, Cruz appears to be gearing up for a return to drills following the team's Week 11 bye. His season debut is unlikely to occur this weekend, but if all goes as planned, he could make his presence felt on Nov. 29 in Washington.

looks like he may return on the 29th. 3 weeks out. i grabbed him very late and stashed him but i had no clue it would end up being 14 weeks later.

I desperately needed him to give me some depth during bye weeks and injuries.. Hopefully can justify holding onto him the entire season.

Victor Cruz (calf) is targeting Week 12 for his return.

"After the bye looks like a promising date," said Cruz. That's still a long way off but at least Cruz is making strides. He was able to run on Thursday and said his calf feels good. For now, Dwayne Harris will continue to handle slot duties for the Giants with Rueben Randle starting opposite Odell Beckham.

He was a wasted draft choice for me but I was thinking about week 6 or week 7 at the very worst. I cant see dropping him at this point though.
