Crabtree caught 7-of-12 targets for 108 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 38-35 loss in Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Crabtree finished with over 100 yards receiving for the second straight contest, and his 38-yard score with 1:15 remaining almost sent the game to overtime. The 28-year-old's first season with the Raiders could turn out be his most productive since he played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, as Crabtree is on pace for almost 1200 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Happy this guy got a second chance. I think he's better than what most people tend to give him credit for. Not "mediocre", but a pretty good WR2 :)

I picked him up this week. Glad I did!

He's let me down in the past, but it's obvious now that the problem was the guy throwing the ball, not the guy catching it.

Michael Crabtree caught 7-of-12 targets for 108 yards and two touchdowns in Oakland's Week 9 loss to the Steelers.

The 7/100/1 effort was Crabtree's second straight. His first score was a leaping grab between two defenders in the end zone, while he was left completely uncovered on the second, a 38-yard strike late. Seemingly back to his pre-Achilles' injury form, Crabtree is on pace for 94/1,182/10 with half the season gone. Those numbers aren't far-fetched with Derek Carr balling out as he emerges as a franchise quarterback. Crabtree will be a WR2 against the Vikings in Week 10. Nov 8 - 5:38 PM (rotoworld.com)

He's got a true pocket passer with some scrambling ability throwing to him now in Carr, as opposed to a gifted athlete who's uncomfortable in the pocket in Kaepernick. While he did have his best statistical season with Kaep in 2012 I see that as an abbreation rather than the standard, as his production declined in every season with Kaep thereafter. Through 8 games he's got 47 catches for 591 yards and 5 TDs. If he and Carr stay healthy from here on out he could easily surpass what he put up in 2012.

crabtree or barnidge as a flex standard?

RobertoP Tue 11/10/15 2:08 PM

@big-train: The crabman is on fire! That, and I don't trust Johnny Football to get Barnidge the ball like McCown did (last week: 7 targets, 2 catches. Yikes!)

Crabtree or Akien

RobertoP Tue 11/10/15 4:30 PM

@KP3: I'd still go with Crabtree, but it's close. Aiken will start to pick up some of Steve Smith's workload; he;s not even close to having that level of trust from Flacco. I can see Baltimore relying more on the run against a bad Jacksonville run D.

Crabtree or charcandrick west

66caddy Wed 11/11/15 11:07 AM

crabtree all the way. vikings have a goog D. and you already know they are going to double team cooper. so crabtree should see at least 9 targets this week. and he seems to be the redzone guy to get into endzone. for the first half it will be a field goal points than raiders are going to go to the air to dominate them.
