Coach Todd Bowles confirmed that Smith will head into training camp as the Jets' first-team quarterback and will receive the majority of the team's practice reps, ESPN.com reports. While Bowles introduced the notion that Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Simms and rookie Bryce Petty will compete against Smith for the team's top QB job this summer, as it stands, the assignment is Smith's "to lose."
