Cassel has been traded from the Bills to the Cowboys, Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports.

Tony Romo is out for a while, so the Cowboys needed to stock up quickly in terms of quarterback depth. While we would assume Brandon Weeden is the interim starter, he's not nearly as established as Romo, so Cassel could be one or two bad starts away from having a starting job again. We'll see if he gets slotted above Kellen Moore in the pecking order once he gets up to speed.
