Browns assigned WR Jordan Norwood (foot) the "designated for return" tag on injured reserve. Norwood can't resume practicing for six weeks, and won't be eligible to return for eight weeks. It's an extremely ill-timed blow for a player who had recently locked down slot duties and caught a career-high nine passes in Week 5. It also means rookie Brandon Weeden will have one less security blanket over the middle. Although Norwood should play again this season, he's not worth holding onto in PPR leagues. It's unclear whom the Browns will install in the slot.
