Bills head coach Rex Ryan said Friday that he remains cautiously optimistic McCoy (hamstring) will be available for Week 1 against the Colts, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCoy appears to be truly questionable, and even if he's able to play, there's some chance he'll have a limited workload. With the Bills recently releasing Fred Jackson, a McCoy absence would leave the Buffalo backfield in the hands of Karlos Williams (undisclosed), Anthony Dixon (calf) and Bryce Brown. It's unclear which running back would get the start, and only Brown finished the preseason with a clean bill of health.
