Bears released DT Anthony Adams. The move clears $1.9 million in salary. Adams, a veteran nose tackle who will turn 32 before the season, fell out of the Bears' rotation last year, appearing in 11 games but only two of the final six. He had 16 tackles and no sacks. Adams was once one of the more underrated run-stopping 4-3 defensive tackles in football, but his career may be through after nine NFL seasons.
