Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he expects Ansah (shoulder) to suit up versus the Steelers on Sunday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ansah is recovering from a torn labrum and was inactive Week 1, but he looks to be nearing a return to full health. If Ansah is indeed ready to go Week 2, he'll suit up opposite Jadaveon Clowney to form what should be one of the league's most formidable pass-rushing duos.

Ansah (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Ansah was rehabbing a torn labrum this offseason, and while he appeared to be making positive strides in recovery, the team isn't going to risk his health. The Seahawks pass rush will predictably take a hit, and Rasheem Green is expected to start at defensive end on the opposite side of Jadeveon Clowney.

Ansah (shoulder) is considered questionable for Sunday's season opener against the Bengals, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ansah was limited in each practice this week. It seems that head coach Pete Carroll wants to exercise caution with the 30-year-old, saying "there's still a little bit of a question for Ziggy, we just want to make sure he's alright (on Sunday)." If Ansah ultimately can't play Sunday, Rasheem Grant seems likeliest to fill in at defensive end.

Ansah (shoulder) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although coach Pete Carroll said Ansah would be ready to play Sunday versus the Bengals, it appears the team is taking precautions as he works his way back from a torn labrum. There's plenty of buzz around Ansah now after the addition of Jadeveon Clowney, as the Seahawks hope the two can team up to be one of the better pass-rushing duos in the league. As long as Ansah doesn't suffer any setbacks, that quest will start Sunday.

GM John Schneider said Ansah will often be on the field with Jadeveon Clowney, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ansah is healthy for Week 1's game versus the Bengals, but he may be put on a snap count due to his lengthy recovery from a torn labrum. When Ansah is on the field, however, lining up opposite of Clowney will work to his benefit, as opposing offenses likely will have to scheme extra pass protection to Clowney's side. Ansah has a high ceiling as a pass rusher being just two seasons removed from a 12-sack campaign, but he didn't play at all in the preseason and an initial light workload hampers his IDP capabilities.

Ansah (shoulder) is ready to go for Sunday's game against the Bengals according to head coach Pete Carroll, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. "He practiced last week, he's practicing now," Carroll noted. "He'll have two weeks under his belt, which is one more than Jadeveon's got. For Ziggy, he practiced and worked out with us, and worked out hard for six weeks or something all through camp and all that. He did a really good job through the process, and he's in good shape and he's ready to go."
EDGE Analysis
Ansah has been steadily taking on more practice reps as he continues to recover from offseason shoulder surgery and now appears to be fully participating. Ansah paired alongside new-addition Jadeveon Clowney will provide Seattle with a huge boost in the pass-rushing game. The Seahawks have used a rotation of guys on the defensive line in the past, so it remains unknown how many reps Ansah will actually get if he does indeed start Sunday.

Ansah (shoulder) participated in individual drills at Tuesday's practice, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ansah has been ramping up his activity in the recent weeks as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery, and finally made an appearance on the practice field for the first time this offseason. The fact that the 30-year-old returned in some fashion reaffirms the notion that he's still on track for Week 1.

Ansah (shoulder) is being eased into practice but is expected to return in time for Week 1, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ansah managed to avoid the PUP list but hasn't been able to practice in full. After looking like he could miss the regular season opener his recovery has been ahead of schedule despite him not yet being 100 percent. He may be limited in preseason games as well as the team takes it easy with his recovery.
