The New York Daily News confirms the Giants are interested in free agent C Evan Dietrich-Smith. A team source terms the interest as "serious." It's a sign the G-Men are ready to move on from David Baas. Provided the price is right, Dietrich-Smith would be a major upgrade on Baas at this point in his career.
