ProFootballTalk reports C Evan Dietrich-Smith will visit the Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are doing their best to upgrade their offensive line, and replacing C Jeremy Zuttah with Dietrich-Smith would be a great first step. The Giants are also reportedly interested after cutting veteran C David Baas.

The New York Daily News confirms the Giants are interested in free agent C Evan Dietrich-Smith. A team source terms the interest as "serious." It's a sign the G-Men are ready to move on from David Baas. Provided the price is right, Dietrich-Smith would be a major upgrade on Baas at this point in his career. The Giants can't come out of the offseason without having shaken up their offensive line.

FOX Sports' Alex Marvez reports free agent C Evan Dietrich-Smith could be an option for the Giants if they decide to release C David Baas. Aaron Rodgers wants the Packers to re-sign his center, but he appears set to reach free agency. Still only 28 (in July), Dietrich-Smith would be an upgrade on the aging, injury-prone and expensive Baas. The Giants cannot maintain the status quo on their offensive line, which was one of the league's worst in 2013.

Aaron Rodgers is stumping for the Packers to re-sign free agent C Evan Dietrich-Smith. Dietrich-Smith is Rotoworld's No. 3 free agent center, behind only Alex Mack (Browns) and Brian De La Puente (Saints). "I think you see that with Evan and I, the opportunity to play together for an extended period of time and that would be kind of a quarterback's dream," said Rodgers. Green Bay's lone realistic in-house replacement would be 2013 fourth-round pick J.C. Tretter.

Packers C Evan Dietrich-Smith sprained his ankle during Wednesday's practice. Already battling through a sprained knee sustained on Thanksgiving, Dietrich-Smith stepped on a teammate's foot during practice and rolled his ankle. His status for Sunday's game against the Falcons is uncertain. It's yet another concern for the Packers as they allowed Matt Flynn to get sacked seven times against the Lions.

Packers C Evan Dietrich-Smith was forced from Green Bay's Week 13 game against the Lions with a knee injury, and will not return. RG T.J. Lang has shifted to center. Don Barclay is now at right guard, with Marshall Newhouse at right tackle. It's not good news for a Packers offense that hasn't been able to get anything going with Matt Flynn under center.

Packers C Evan Dietrich-Smith has been diagnosed with a knee sprain. Dietrich-Smith admitted the injury he sustained in the loss to the Eagles could have been worse. Still, he appears unlikely to play in this week's game against the Giants. That would leave T.J. Lang, who has very little experience at center, to snap to Scott Tolzien.
