Rogers (toe) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers' continued absence leaves more Week 5 snaps and targets (that don't go to top wideout Antonio Brown) for Sammie Coates, Markus Wheaton and Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Head coach Mike Tomlin expects Rogers (toe) to miss another game.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers ditched his walking boot Monday, but he's still expected to miss at least one more game. His likely absence will leave more snaps and targets for Sammie Coates, Markus Wheaton and Darrius Heyward-Bey (shoulder). Rogers is dealing with turf toe, an injury that often lingers and can have a very unpredictable recovery timetable.

Rogers (toe) ditched his walking boot Monday, Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers was ruled out in advance of Sunday night's game against the Chiefs due to turf toe, an injury that tends to linger. However, the fact he's out of the boot implies that the healing process is proceeding well. His practice participation this week will ultimately indicate his chances of playing Sunday against the Jets.

Rogers (toe) won't play Sunday night against the Chiefs, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Rogers deemed out by the Steelers, look for some combo of Markus Wheaton and Darrius Heyward-Bey to see reps out of the slot in the Steelers' Week 4 passing attack. To date, Rogers has logged nine catches (on 15 targets) for 100 yards and a TD through the team's first three contests.

Coach Mike Tomlin noted that Rogers (turf toe) is "very questionable" for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
If Rogers misses Sunday's game, then Markus Wheaton or Darrius Heyward-Bey would candidates to man the slot for the Steelers in Week 4, per the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Rogers (toe) was spotted in a walking boot Tuesday, with head coach Mike Tomlin calling the wideout "very questionable" for Sunday's game against Kansas City, Dave Lolley of the Washington Observer-Reporter reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers surprisingly earned a role as the team's slot receiver in training camp, and while the recent return of Markus Wheaton might have led to a reduction in targets, it still seemed Rogers would be a significant part of the offense. If he's unable to play in Sunday's game, Wheaton and/or Antonio Brown will spend significant time working from the slot, with Sammie Coates potentially taking on more snaps outside.

Rogers left Sunday's game against the Eagles with a toe injury, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers suffered the injury in the third quarter of a blowout loss, finishing his day with two catches for 32 yards on five targets. He was ruled out for the rest of the game shortly thereafter, but even if he were healthy enough to play, there wouldn't be any reason to put him back in. Prior to his exit, Rogers shared snaps and targets with Sammie Coates, Markus Wheaton and Darrius Heyward-Bey, with only Antonio Brown having an every-down role.

Rogers managed just one catch for nine yards on three targets in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers came crashing down to earth after scoring in his debut, trailing Antonio Brown and Sammie Coates in production at the wide receiver position by a wide margin. The slot receiver will likely continue to hold on to that job moving forward, but he's about to have yet another opponent to jostle with for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's attention with Markus Wheaton (shoulder) due back next week. Pittsburgh doesn't lack for playmakers on offense, so it won't be easy for Rogers to carve out a consistent role every week.

Rogers caught six passes (on seven targets) for 59 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's win over the Redskins.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers, who missed all of last season due to a foot injury, made a rather strong impression in his NFL debut Monday. Mostly operating out of the slot, Rogers showed good ability to get open and run after the catch, and displayed quick reflexes in catching a deflected pass for a three-yard touchdown to finish the second quarter. With Markus Wheaton (shoulder) and Le'Veon Bell (suspended) out Monday, and fellow wideout Martavis Bryant suspended for this season, Rogers took advantage of his opportunity in Pittsburgh's accomplished passing game, trailing only Antonio Brown in receiving yards. Even when the Steelers have their full compliment of weapons available this year, Rogers' knack for playing the slot position could earn him enough snaps to make him a decent fantasy pickup, particularly in PPR leagues.

Rogers caught two passes for 17 yards on four targets in Friday's preseason game against the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Rogers played the majority of first-team snaps, manning the slot while Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton lined up outside. It increasingly seems the Steelers could open the season favoring the aforementioned alignment, but 2015 third-round selection Sammie Coates did make his argument for a role after Ben Roethlisberger left Friday's game, catching both of his targets for 66 yards and a touchdown. If Coates were to play over Rogers in three-wide sets, the Steelers would use Brown and/or Wheaton out of the slot, a role that both have filled at various points in the past. The Steelers might also opt to mix and match the two wideouts, with Darrius Heyward-Bey potentially also getting some snaps. Rogers is probably still ahead of Coates for the No. 3 role, but the latter offers a far more intriguing long-term ceiling.
