Harris signed with the 49ers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Harris was with the 49ers since last season but was cut as the team trimmed down to 53 players. To make room for Harris, San Francisco moved 2016 third-round pick Will Redmond to IR, and it appears the only reason Harris was cut was to avoid having to waive Redmond. Look for Harris to be the teams No. 4 option in the backfield, behind Carlos Hyde, Shaun Draughn, and Mike Davis.

Harris carried the ball nine times for 28 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason finale against San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
Harris -- who is currently fighting for one of the 49ers' final running back spots -- put together a solid preseason campaign, finishing with 131 yards on 28 carries and Thursday's touchdown. With Carlos Hyde and Shaun Draughn already locked in atop the depth chart, Harris has made a strong argument to be kept on the 53-man roster to start the season. If he does, he would serve as a change-of-pace or third down back.

Harris gained 29 yards on six carries in Sunday's preseason game against the Texans.
EDGE Analysis
Though he had a solid night, Harris worked behind Mike Davis, who gained 72 yards on five carries. Davis looks like the early favorite for the No. 3 job, and if he were to eventually lock it down, Harris would have to compete with Kendall Gaskins and sixth-round rookie Kelvin Taylor for what would likely be one roster spot.

Harris had 16 carries for 67 yards and caught eight of 12 targets for 86 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
A week after producing a career-high 73 rushing yards, Harris was a major factor again Sunday, easily leading the 49ers in rushing and receiving. The journeyman RB has great speed and a low center of gravity, but with Carlos Hyde (foot) expected to be the featured back in 2016, it's hard to get excited about Harris' prospects for next season.

Harris rushed for 73 yards on 11 carries and added an 11-yard catch in Sunday's loss to the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
The 73 rushing yards were a career high for Harris, who has, since the New Year, spent time with Green Bay, Minnesota, New Orleans, Seattle, Baltimore and now San Francisco. Before any trash-to-treasure cliches are spoken, it is important to note that the 49ers' stable of backs has been a menagerie of mediocrity since Carlos Hyde got hurt, with limited stability in roles. Sunday's performance could propel Harris into a sizable role in Week 17, but it is more likely that the team will stick with the hot hand against the Rams as they look to see what talent they have heading into 2016.

Either Harris or Kendall Gaskins will likely start Sunday's game against the Lions with Shaun Draughn (knee) ruled out, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris was just added to the 49ers' roster this week, but the team has been hesitant to give Gaskins carries, so Harris could be the primary ball carrier Sunday despite his lack of familiarity with the offense. Gaskins figures to at least see action on passing downs after catching six passes last week, but Harris could provide fantasy value even if serves as the goalline back, with the 49ers facing a Lions defense that has allowed 18 rushing touchdowns -- tied for most in the league.

Harris was signed by the 49ers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Released by the Seahawks a week ago, Harris was subsequently signed to the Ravens practice squad. He'll now get a shot to join a banged-up San Francisco backfield, replacing pass-catching specialist Travaris Cadet on the active roster. With Shaun Draughn (knee) uncertain to be ready, there's actually some chance Harris could have a role in the offense during Sunday's game against the Lions.

Harris has been added to the Ravens' practice squad.
EDGE Analysis
Harris ended up getting 18 carries for the Seahawks in Week 14 after Thomas Rawls was injured, but the team did some backfield re-tooling afterward, with Harris subsequently let go and replaced by Bryce Brown and Christine Michael. Harris will now provide the Ravens with added depth behind rostered backs Javorius Allen, Terrance West and Terrence Magee.

Harris, who was expected to compete for the starting RB job with Thomas Rawls injured, was released Tuesday by the Seahawks, the Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move is a bit of a surprise, considering Bryce Brown, who was signed Monday, is the only other running back on the roster.

Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Harris and newly-signed Bryce Brown will vie for "starting" reps, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris took over the Seahawks' ground game following Thomas Rawls' departure Sunday in Baltimore, turning 18 rushes into 42 yards. While the contribution was modest, Harris was believed to be the primary beneficiary once word leaked that Rawls had suffered a broken ankle, but Carroll's comments temper those expectations. It's unclear if the competition for RB reps will result in a workhorse role, or if a timeshare can be expected. In any case, Seattle's recent commitment to the pass places a damper on Harris' potential.
