Donald Driver was forced from Sunday's game against the Broncos with a left knee injury. Driver could put no weight on his left leg as he walked off the field after remaining down on the ground for several minutes. The 13-year veteran was carted to the locker room soon after. His afternoon is almost certainly through. Stay tuned.

Donald Driver was held without a catch in Week 3 against the Bears. Driver saw two targets on the afternoon. It's becoming increasingly clear that the veteran is no longer a key cog of Green Bay's offense. Look for his playing time to drop as the season wears on, with heir-apparent Randall Cobb stepping up as the team's slot receiver. Driver is not worth owning in fantasy leagues.

Donald Driver caught just one pass for 10 yards in Week 2. Driver's eight targets led the team, but he had a couple of drops in an incredibly inefficient performance. The Packers may want to expedite Randall Cobb's learning curve in the slot. Cobb reeled in both of his targets for 25 yards on Sunday, and he'd add a new dimension to the offense in terms of explosiveness.

Donald Driver caught four passes for 41 yards against the Saints in the NFL opener. Playing with Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson in base three-wide sets, Driver became the 33rd player in NFL history to reach the 700 reception mark. His last catch tied James Lofton for the franchise record of 9,656 receiving yards. He's no longer a better player than Nelson, though, and will likely finish fourth on the team in receptions and targets this season.

Donald Driver will have a planned injection Wednesday in the same ankle he injured in Super Bowl XLV. It's a red flag, but not as alarming as it sounds. The decision was made so Driver could maximize his reps by practicing early this week, take a few days off, then begin preparations Sunday for the season opener. We maintain that Jordy Nelson -- not Driver -- is the Green Bay receiver to target as a WR4 behind Greg Jennings.

Donald Driver, 36, has not missed a single practice so far this season. Pretty impressive, but Driver likely feels the heat from the young talent behind him. While most veterans are taking intermittent maintenance days, Driver is out there trying to hold off Randall Cobb for his slot role and James Jones/Jordy Nelson out wide. What Driver can't hide is the fact that he's lost a step or three. He'll be overdrafted in most fantasy leagues.

Donald Driver is willing to accept a demotion out of the starting lineup "if it got to that point." Driver strongly believes it has not gotten to that point yet. The Packers have treated him with well-deserved respect, but he's holding back better players at this point. Jordy Nelson and possibly James Jones are good bets for more targets than the 36-year-old Driver this season.

Donald Driver revealed that the left ankle sprain he suffered in Super Bowl XLV kept him in a boot for a full two months. Driver "felt pain shoot from the knee down to the ankle." He says he's now training at full speed, and will be 100 percent for camp. In the article linked below, Driver makes enough references to his desire "to be the starter" that he comes off as paranoid he might lose the job to Jordy Nelson. We expect he will, because Nelson is a better player and Driver's body is breaking down.
