Hester (hamstring) had just one catch for 23 yards in Sunday's loss to Chicago. Hester had just one target from Matt Ryan, who struggled to generate much offense. He's had some explosive plays this season, but his opportunities will probably be limited once Harry Douglas (foot) returns. Furthermore, the Falcons are having a tough time offensively, with poor line play.

Hester (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against Chicago. With Harry Douglas out, Hester is in line to work as the Falcons' No. 3 receiver on Sunday, against his former team.

Coach Mike Smith said Friday that Hester (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against Chicago, ESPN.com's Vaughn McClure reports. After missing practice Wednesday and Thursday, Hester returned on a limited basis Friday. Smith has maintained all week that he expects Hester to play, and we feel the same, especially considering the opponent (the Bears opted not to re-sign Hester when he became a free agent last spring). With Harry Douglas (foot) out again, Hester will likely continue to operate as the Falcons' No. 3 receiver.

Hester (hamstring) took part in Friday's practice, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Hester was able to get back on the field Friday after sitting out the previous two days. The Falcons have not definitively said that he will play Sunday, but coach Mike Smith indicated earlier in the week that Hester will see added snaps in Week 6, so it seems likely that he will be able to give it a go after taking the field Friday.

Hester (hamstring) was a non-participant in practice Thursday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Despite missing drills for a second day in a row, coach Mike Smith expects Hester to take the field Sunday against the Bears. During Harry Douglas' absence the last two weeks, Hester has totaled seven catches (on 11 targets) for 86 yards and one touchdown. The Falcons' offense isn't expected to include the services of Douglas yet again, leaving Hester to take advantage of a banged-up Bears secondary, who have surrendered six scores to wide receivers through five games in 2014.

Hester didn't take part in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports. Hester is staking a claim to looks in the passing game with Harry Douglas (foot) out of commission. During back-to-back absence from Douglas, Hester was targeted 11 times, catching seven balls for 86 yards and a touchdown. Another absence could come to pass Sunday against Hester's former squad, the Bears, who have allowed 13.7 YPC and six touchdowns to opposing wideouts in five games this season. However, he'll have to achieve active status in order to take advantage of a banged-up secondary.

Hester caught two balls for 16 yards and ran once for three yards in Sunday's loss to the Giants. Hester was on the field for 60 percent of the offensive snaps, but he's proved he can produce even in a limited role so far this season. His snap count will likely take a hit when Harry Douglas returns from a foot injury, but there's no clear timetable for his return. Douglas didn't practice leading up to the Giants game, so Hester may again see a bigger role in Week 6. If Hester was amped to play against former head coach Lovie Smith, we expect he's more than excited to face off against his former team - the Chicago Bears - in Week 6.

Hester (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Giants. Hester will again be the No. 3 wideout with Harry Douglas (foot) out again. He's been surprisingly good this season playing a number of roles, and is coming off a five-catch, 70-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Vikings last week.

Hester (ankle) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Giants, ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports. Harry Douglas (foot) will miss his second straight game, giving Hester another opportunity to serve as the No. 3 wideout behind Julio Jones and Roddy White. He played quite well in that spot last week, grabbing five receptions for 70 yards and a score, and he should see a decent share of targets again against the Giants.

Hester (ankle) was limited at practice Wednesday, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports. Hester has turned limited touches into significant output in his first season with the Falcons, scoring two offensive touchdowns and another via punt return through four contests. Meanwhile, he played through the ankle concern in Week 4, but owners may want to check his status heading into Sunday's game against the Giants in New York to ensure he's available.
