CSN Bay Area confirms the 49ers are interested in free agent DL Desmond Bryant, but have yet to schedule a visit. Bryant will just have to jut across the bay once the sides schedule a visit. He'd be a readymade replacement for Ricky Jean-Francois, and probably an upgrade.

Yahoo's Jason Cole reports the Patriots, 49ers, Eagles, Seahawks, and Jaguars are all showing interest in free agent DL Desmond Bryant. One of our favorite free-agent sleepers, 27-year-old Bryant has a scheme versatile body type at 6-foot-6, 300, and has stuck out to us when watching Raiders 2011 and 2012 game tape. Cole's report seems agent-driven considering all of the teams mentioned, but we wouldn't be surprised if he commanded lucrative money.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports free agent DT Desmond Bryant is on the Browns' "radar" The recently-arrested defensive tackle would be an intriguing fit for new DC Ray Horton's aggressive 3-4 defense. An under-the-radar force in Oakland last season, Bryant is unlikely to be back with the cap-strapped Raiders.

Free agent DT Desmond Bryant was arrested in Miami on Sunday morning on the charge of criminal mischief. Original reports had Cowboys WR Dez Bryant as the one arrested, but he was grinding away in a Dallas 24-hour gym until 4 AM local time. Desmond's bond has been set at $1,000, so it's not a hefty charge by any means. The rest of the details are unknown at this time, but it shouldn't affect his free-agent stock much, if at all. The Harvard alum is expected to be a hot commodity, and he checks in as our No. 5 free-agent defensive tackle.

Raiders re-signed restricted free agent DL Desmond Bryant to a one-year, $1.927 million contract. He'll be eligible for 2013 unrestricted free agency, at which point Bryant could be a sneaky big-ticket target for 3-4 teams. At 6-foot-5, 290, Bryant has developed into a disruptive defensive lineman capable of playing both tackle and end. He'll be a swing player behind Richard Seymour and Tommy Kelly this year.
