Gorrer is done for the season due to torn ligaments in his knee, the Ravens' official website reports. Gorrer was signed a few weeks back to help with depth in the banged-up Baltimore secondary. He'll undergo season-ending surgery, and will likely have to compete for a roster spot -- in Baltimore or elsewhere -- next year.

Gorrer was carted off the field with a knee injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday's win over the Dolphins, the Ravens' official website reports. Prior to the injury, Gorrer rotated in with Asa Jackson, who returned from a foot injury to start at right cornerback. The Ravens finished the game with just two healthy cornerbacks active, though safety Matt Elam is mostly a slot corner at this point.

Gorrer primarily worked as the nickel corner during Sunday's 21-7 win over the Titans, the Ravens' official website reports. Anthony Levine, who is listed as a safety, got the start at right cornerback and played a strong game. Gorrer also did well in his role, notably coming up with the game-sealing interception, in addition to two solo tackles. The Ravens will likely go with the same alignment after their Week 11 bye, but Gorrer could still push for a starting spot fairly soon. Opposing quarterbacks will likely test both Gorrer and Levine quite often, although entrenched starter Lardarius Webb hasn't been much better than the rotating cast of characters around him this season.

Gorrer was claimed off waivers by the Ravens on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports. Gorrer will see an opportunity to contribute immediately for a Ravens secondary that has dealt with a rash of injuries of late.

Gorrer agreed to a contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive Media Group reports. Gorrer earned a roster spot with an "impressive" workout Tuesday. He will provide some cornerback depth for a Lions team that just placed Nevin Lawson (foot) on injured reserve.
