McDonald managed 31 tackles (21 solo) over six games in the 2015 season.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old tackle was on pace for one of the best seasons of his career before a torn pectoral muscle ended his 2015 campaign in early November. McDonald was on track to finish with a career-high 80 stops had he managed to play all 16 games, which would have obliterated his current high-water mark of 46 that he established during the 2014 season. An outstanding run stopper with above-average ability to rush the passer from the tackle position, McDonald has amassed 10.5 sacks over his career, although he notably failed to get to the quarterback during his time on the field in 2015. With the firing of head coach Lovie Smith and the majority of his defensive staff, McDonald and the rest of his defensive teammates remain up in the air regarding the scheme they'll operate under in 2016.

McDonald (pectoral) has been placed on season-ending injured reserve, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though rightfully overshadowed by teammate Gerald McCoy, the 28-year-old McDonald emerged as a solid starter the past two seasons. In his absence, the Bucs will need more snaps from Akeem Spence, Henry Melton and Tony McDaniel (groin). None of the bunch warrants IDP consideration.

McDonald (pectoral) is inactive for Sunday's contest in Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis

McDonald (pectoral) is doubtful for Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't appear as if McDonald will be able to play Sunday however the Buccaneers have yet to officially rule out their run-stuffing defensive tackle. With fellow defensive tackle Tony McDaniel (groin) also listed as doubtful on the team's official injury report, Tampa Bay could be without two of their top defensive tackles when they take on Devonta Freeman and the Falcons Sunday.

McDonald (pectoral) was unable to practice for a second consecutive day Thursday, Joe Kania of the Buccaneers official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The defensive tackle's chances of suiting up in Week 8 against the Falcons look to be trending downward after a second consecutive missed practice. McDonald's stout run-stuffing presence would be missed against Devonta Freeman and the Falcons in Week 8 were he to be sidelined. Friday will likely provide a more or less definitive answer on McDonald's prospects for taking the field Sunday.

McDonald (pectoral) missed practice Wednesday, Joe Kania of the Buccaneers official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDonald has been a highly productive member of the Bucs' defensive line, and any prolonged absence on his end would have a negative impact on a defense that is still finding its way. The veteran defensive tackle has tallied an impressive 31 tackles on the season, including three behind the line of scrimmage. McDonald's status for Week 8 will be made a bit clearer after Thursday's practice session.

McDonald (hamstring) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Packers. McDonald hasn't suited up since Week 12, but had recorded sacks in three straight games prior to going down with the injury. He's been able to log decent tackle numbers when healthy, but it's unclear what his role will be Sunday following a three-game absence.

Buccaneers sign DT Clinton Mcdonald for four years, $12 million. It is quite a turnaround for a player released by the Seahawks during training camp last season. McDonald racked up 5.5 sacks and 42 tackles after being re-signed by Seattle after Week 1, and was superb during the Hawks Super Bowl run.
