Vikings signed CB Chris Carr, formerly of the Ravens. Carr, 29, excelled as a slot and left cornerback in 2010 with Baltimore before a rough 2011 season marred by injuries. Best suited as a nickel corner and special teamer, Carr will compete for a role in sub-packages with Minnesota.

Free agent CB Chris Carr will visit the Chiefs and Vikings. Both teams were connected to top corners early in free agency, only to strike out. A competent starter with the Ravens two years ago, Carr would play in nickel and dime packages in either city.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the "expectation remains" that both CB Chris Carr and CB Domonique Foxworth have played their final down for the Ravens. A healthy scratch for the Divisional Round of the playoffs, Carr is due $2.5 million after tumbling down the depth chart, while Foxworth is due a prohibitive $5.6 million. Knee issues have limited Foxworth to just two games the past two seasons.

The Sideline View's Adam Caplan confirms that CB Chris Carr is a healthy scratch for the Divisional round. Carr needs to be worried about his employment because he's due a $2.5 million salary in 2012. He's been passed on the depth chart by rookie Jimmy Smith and usual special teamer Danny Gorrer behind Lardarius Webb and Cary Williams.
