The Bills' Thursday practice estimation lists Clay (hamstring) as a non-participant.
EDGE Analysis
Clay has one more chance to fit in some work Friday, but if he's unable to rally in time to suit up Sunday against the Jaguars, Jason Croom and Logan Thomas would head the Bills' Week 12 tight end corps.

Coach Sean McDermott said Clay (hamstring) won't practice Wednesday, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Clay still isn't practicing coming out of the Bills' Week 11 bye isn't the most encouraging of signs with regards to his outlook for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Unless Clay is able to fit in some work Thursday or Friday, the Bills will proceed with Jason Croom and Logan Thomas as their primary tight ends in Week 12.

Clay (hamstring) didn't participate in Tuesday's practice, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following their Week 11 bye, the Bills held practices Monday and Tuesday, but the team won't have to provide their first Week 12 injury report until Wednesday. With Clay still not resuming on-field work, it's expected that he'll officially go down as a non-participant Wednesday, casting early skepticism on his chances of playing Sunday against the Jaguars. If Clay misses a second straight game, Jason Croom and Logan Thomas would likely split work at tight end.

Coach Sean McDermott said Clay (hamstring) wouldn't participate in Monday's practice, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coming out of a bye week, the Bills reconvened Monday for an informal practice, but the team's first official session for Week 12 won't come until Wednesday. Another update on the extent of Clay's involvement in practice will be available on that day, but there's been little indication the tight end is ready for on-field work. While Clay was sidelined for the Bills' final game before bye Nov. 11 against the Jets, Jason Croom and Logan Thomas split snaps at the position, combining for one reception for one yard on one target. Neither would profile as a particularly appealing fantasy option if Clay is withheld from action again Sunday at home against Jacksonville.

Clay will not play Sunday against the Jets, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clay did not participate in the Bills' first two practice sessions of the week, and head coach Sean McDermott wasted no time Friday morning ruling him out for Week 10. McDermott indicated the Bills are considering adding a tight end to the roster, but regardless, either Logan Thomas or Jason Croom figure to get the start in Clay's place.

Clay (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Per Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo, Clay was spotted working with trainers off to the side during the portion of practice that was open to the media. The tight end was also a spectator for Wednesday's practice and was labeled by coach Sean McDermott as "week-to-week" Monday, so there doesn't seem to be much hope for Clay playing in Week 10 against the Jets. If the veteran is sidelined, Jason Croom and Logan Thomas would likely share snaps at tight end.

Clay (hamstring) isn't participating in Wednesday's practice, Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bills coach Sean McDermott labeled Clay as "week-to-week" when he met with the media Monday, so it's hardly a surprise the veteran tight end isn't on the field two days later. Unless Clay's recovery from the hamstring issue takes a dramatic turn for the better over the next couple of days, he seems poised to miss his first game of the season Sunday against the Jets. If that's the case, Jason Croom -- who established season highs across the board in the Week 9 loss to the Bears with three receptions for 36 yards on five targets -- would likely step in as the Bills' starting tight end.

Clay, who suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's loss to the Bears, was labeled "week-to-week" by coach Sean McDermott on Monday, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clay rarely makes it through the season or even the practice week fully healthy, and with the latest injury it looks like he could be missing some game action. McDermott tends to label his guys "day-to-day" if they have at least a decent chance of playing in the next game, while he generally uses the "week-to-week" label for players that are expected to miss some time. We'll know more in Clay's case when the Bills resume practice Wednesday, while it can't hurt the 2-7 Bills to get a better look at younger options like Jason Croom and Logan Thomas,

Clay was forced out of Sunday's game against the Bears with a hamstring injury.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to his exit from the contest, Clay -- who came into Week 9 with 19 catches on 31 targets for 169 yards -- did not catch any passes.

Clay caught three of six targets for 36 yards during Monday's 25-6 loss to the Patriots.
EDGE Analysis
Clay has still yet to score this season or generate more than 40 yards in a game. Once a solid underneath target, Clay is on pace to set his lowest totals in receptions, targets and yards since 2012. Obviously, the revolving door of ineffectiveness at quarterback is leaving its mark and things might get even worse Sunday as Nathan Peterman -- who has nine interceptions on just 81 career attempts -- might lineup under center, all while taking on one of the league's better pass defenses in Chicago.
