Chad Henne completed 30-of-51 throws for 331 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in the Jaguars' Week 17 loss to the Colts. Henne's 2013 campaign wraps up with 3,241 passing yards and a 13:14 TD-to-INT ratio across 15 appearances with 13 starts. Although Henne proved a better option than Blaine Gabbert, that obviously isn't saying much, and the 28-year-old will head to 2014 free agency drawing backup-only contract offers. Limited athletically and always a fairly scattershot passer, Henne is the kind of quarterback who requires an elite defense and running game combination to be a serviceable spot starter. The Jaguars will surely target quarterbacks early in May's draft. Henne is unlikely to be retained.

Henne managed the game effectively before throwing a pick to George Wilson on the Jaguars' final drive of the fourth quarter. With Cecil Shorts (groin, I.R.) out for the season, he was forced to play with Ace Sanders and Mike Brown as his top two wideouts. Henne now has at least two touchdown passes in four straight games. The Jaguars take on the Colts in Week 17.

Continually flushed from the pocket, Henne added four scrambles for 33 yards. Although the Jags are unlikely to quibble with Henne throwing two scores in a win, he was mostly dreadful. Henne missed open throws all night, and had a tendency to panic in the pocket. Henne's worst pass came one play after a Case Keenum interception late in the second quarter, where he missed a wide-open Cecil Shorts on what would have been the easiest 59-yard touchdown you will ever see. Henne simply doesn't do anything well, though back-to-back two-score games have him "up" to eight touchdowns on the season. He'll remain one of the league's lowest-end QB2s for Week 15.

He targeted Ace Sanders on flare-out routes out of the backfield and slot 11 times, while working it to his tight ends and Cecil Shorts in the intermediate passing game. Henne found Clay Harbor from 16 yards out on an out route on his first touchdown pass. Then, Henne found Shorts on a double-move over the top of Joe Haden for the game-winning 20-yard touchdown with 40 seconds left to play. Henne's interception was an under-thrown ball to Shorts that was picked off by Haden. Henne will continue to make starts for the 3-9 Jaguars. Next up is the Houston Texans on Thursday.

Henne didn't do anything special - and did quite a bit wrong - but avoided turnovers and force fed the ball to No. 1 receiver Cecil Shorts in a game that wasn't easy on the eyes. Coach Gus Bradley will likely be able to skip his weekly vote of confidence in Monday's presser. With just two touchdowns over his past six games - and only four all season - Henne will remain a bottom-barrel QB2 in Week 13 against the Browns.

Coach Gus Bradley confirmed Monday Chad Henne remains the Jaguars' starting quarterback. This is the second week in a row Bradley has had to give Henne a vote of confidence after a brutal performance. Based on film study and intangibles, the Jaguars have clearly determined Henne is their best quarterback and turned the page on Blaine Gabbert. Henne will start at Houston in Week 12.

Chad Henne completed 27-of-42 passes for 255 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Jacksonville's 27-14 Week 11 loss to the Cardinals. Henne found reserve TE Danny Noble for a 62-yard touchdown on Jacksonville's fourth play from scrimmage - on 4th-and-1, no less - but it was all downhill from there, as Henne offered no big-play ability and threw two terrible picks. He'd be a candidate to be benched if he were backed up by anyone other than Blaine Gabbert. Fading more each week, Henne won't be a viable QB2 in Week 12 against the Texans.

Chad Henne will remain the Jaguars' starting quarterback for Week 11. Henne was terrible in Sunday's win, but the Jags know better than to go back to Blaine Gabbert. Jaguars.com John Oehser's believes there's "no indication" coach Gus Bradley has wavered on Henne as his starter. Henne will be upgraded in the offseason, but for now, he's easily the Jags' best quarterback.

The Jaguars are sticking with Chad Henne as their starting quarterback. Even though Blaine Gabbert is healthy and younger, the winless coaching staff can't sell the locker room on a switch. Henne has at least shown an ability to move the chains, averaging 265.0 yards passing in his five starts. Barring an injury to Henne, it looks like Gabbert has made his last start as a Jaguar.
