Beanie Wells (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice. Wells' practice habits are always of note because of his injury history, but neither the coaching staff nor local media has expressed concern over his Week 13 status. We fully expect him to anchor the Cardinals' backfield for the second straight weekend against the Jets. Wells is Rotoworld's No. 25 running back for Week 13.

Beanie Wells (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice. As was William Powell (shoulder). AzCardinals.com's Darren Urban is "sure it's precautionary," so there's no reason to worry about Wells' Week 13 status. Reinstalled as the Cardinals' clear lead back in Week 12, Wells will get the Jets' soft run defense this weekend.

Beanie Wells admitted that he didn't have his football legs in Sunday's return to action. In Wells' first game since Week 3, he rushed 17 times for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Seven of those carries came on the very first drive. "You definitely get tired quicker when you ain't been out there a while, just when your adrenaline gets going and the anxiety, but it's all right," he said afterward. "Just got to get my football legs back." Coach Ken Whisenhunt said he thought Wells did a "nice job." Look for Beanie to push for 15-18 more carries against the Jets in Week 13.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Beanie Wells and La'Rod Stephens-Howling will rotate snaps on Sunday, but that Beanie has "no limitations" aside from conditioning. Beanie's healthy, but he's out of shape after not playing since Week 3. Beanie should see the vast majority of his carries on first and second down, with Stephens-Howling handing passing and third-down snaps. Beanie is a slightly better play, but Stephens-Howling is ranked just eight spots lower (No. 39) in Rotoworld's Week 12 rankings. Neither is a particularly compelling flex option.

Beanie Wells (knee, toe) said he doesn't believe it will take long before he can resume a full workload. "Not at all," Wells said. "I think I'm capable of a full workload. I've been practicing for two weeks. Feeling good, getting lots of reps." The Cardinals suggested that Beanie will have a limited role in his return Sunday, but they figure to go extremely run-heavy with Ryan Lindley at quarterback. Rotoworld's Chris Wesseling ranks Wells as the No. 31 running back in his Week 12 rankings.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt suggested that Beanie Wells (toe) will have a limited workload in his return to game action versus the Rams on Sunday. It's what we suspected. Wells will play on early downs, but La'Rod Stephens-Howling will remain involved. "I think you got to get a feel for it," Whisenhunt said of Wells' carries. "I certainly don't think he's going to get an overload of work." Rotoworld ranks Beanie No. 28 among fantasy options for Week 12.

Beanie Wells (toe) says that he's in shape. Wells hasn't played since Week 3, but he insists that he didn't need that much time to recover. He's tentatively expected to start Sunday's game against the Rams. "Yep, yep. I'm in shape," Wells said. "I've been working hard with (strength coach) John Lott to make sure I was going to be ready when I could play. ... I feel like I could all day right now." Beanie's return will shift La'Rod Stephens-Howling back to his natural change-of-pace role.

Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed Monday that Beanie Wells will be activated this week from I.R./designated for return. Whisenhunt also said the Cardinals expect Wells to play in Week 12 against the Rams. He's likely to be Arizona's starter. While La'Rod Stephens-Howling's Week 11 box-score stat line (22-127-1, 2-6) looks good on paper, he gained 69.2 percent of his all-purpose yardage on two carries and averaged under two yards per touch on his other 22 opportunities to handle the football. He is not an NFL feature back. Wells is worth adding in all fantasy leagues.

Mike Jurecki of XTRA Sports confirms Beanie Wells remains on track to start when eligible to be activated from I.R./designated for return in Week 12. La'Rod Stephens-Howling will make his final start in Week 11 against Atlanta. Wells appears to already be fully recovered from his early-season toe and knee injuries. The Cardinals will face the Rams in two Sundays.
