Jones pleaded guilty to obstructing official business in court Tuesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was arrested in the beginning of January. He'll likely receive some sort of discipline from the league, but it remains to be seen whether or not it will severely jeopardize his availability this season.

Jones received a show of support from owner Mike Brown at least week's owners' meetings, Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "I'm going to give him a chance," Brown said, regarding Jones' incident from January. "I hope it comes out right for him, for his family and for us."
EDGE Analysis
A felony charge from the incident has been dropped, but Jones still faces existing misdemeanor charges for assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business. Brown's comments indicate that Jones will remain with the Bengals, no matter how the legal process plays out and if the league office opts to levy any subsequent punishment. The latter is a distinct possibility, "even if the conduct does not result in a criminal conviction," per Dehner Jr. As a result, Jones is penciled in as one of the Bengals' starting cornerbacks and their top returner as the offseason continues.

Although a felony charge against Jones for an early-January incident in Cincinnati has been dropped, he still faces three misdemeanor charges, NFL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Among the existing charges are misdemeanors for assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business. Due to his history of brushes with the law, the Bengals are likely bracing for a suspension once the justice system makes a decision. While the team has yet to comment on the matter, the NFL stated that a review "continues under the personal conduct policy, which states that a player may still be subject to potential discipline even if the conduct does not result in a criminal conviction," according to Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Jones was arrested early Tuesday morning for a confrontation at a hotel in downtown Cincinnati, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Among a litany of allegations, Jones faces misdemeanor charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business, as well as a felony charge of harassment with a bodily substance. Before he can be released from jail, he awaits a blood test, which will be performed on Wednesday morning. Both the Bengals and the NFL won't comment on the situation while the legal ramifications are sorted out, but due to his lengthy history of brushes with the law, both parties will have precedence to punish the cornerback, even if he escapes unscathed on the legal front.

When asked if he will be ready for Week 1's matchup with the Jets, Jones (calf) responded, "100 percent for New York. 100 percent."
EDGE Analysis
Jones strained his calf during warmups before Sunday's preseason loss to the Jaguars, sidelining him for the game. "When I back-pedaled I didn't feel a pull, I just felt pain. It loosened up as I was going," Jones explained Monday. "I was trying to go back out and Coach (Marvin) Lewis said, 'No way.' Yeah, if it was the regular season I would have played." Look for Jones to rest for the final preseason game against the Colts on Thursday in order to nurse his calf a little more before the season gets underway.

Jones will not play in Sunday's preseason game against the Jaguars after suffering a calf strain during warmups, Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones will still watch the game from the sideline, suggesting his injury isn't too serious. It would be a major issue for the Bengals if he missed time during the regular season, as the team has plenty of first-round draft picks at cornerback, but only Jones has (thus far) proven to be a high-level NFL performer.

Jones re-signed with the Bengals on a three-year contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports
EDGE Analysis
Despite drawing a ton of attention for his costly penalty in the playoffs, Jones enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in 2015. He'll turn 33 early in the 2016 season, but he seems to have gotten better with age and should still be locked in as a starter. Jones picked off three passes in each of the past three seasons, with tackle totals of 56,63 and 62.

EDGE Analysis
After putting in limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday, Jones practiced in full on Friday. He'll mix in at right cornerback in addition to returning kicks for the Bengals.
