After meeting with Rodgers earlier this week, the Jets are reportedly becoming more confident in their chances of securing the quarterback, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.
EDGE Analysis
The report suggests that the Jets and Packers have had conversations with regard to potential trade compensation in the event that the 39-year-old decides that he wants to move on from the franchise that drafted him in 2005, but at this stage, Rodgers has yet to make any announcements regarding his intentions for the coming NFL season. With that in mind, it still remains possible that Rodgers could either elect to remain with Green Bay or retire.

The Packers reportedly have granted Rodgers permission to speak with the Jets, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
EDGE Analysis
According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, some conversations regarding a potential trade of the 39-year-old signal caller are expected to take place Tuesday. That said, at this stage Rodgers has yet to announce what he plans to do this coming season, with Graziano noting that if the QB elects to continue his playing career it's still possible he could decide that he'd prefer to remain with the Packers. Moreover, Rodgers' current contract with Green Bay would presumably need to be addressed before any possible deal sending him elsewhere could proceed.

Rodgers completed 17 of 27 pass attempts for 205 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 20-16 loss to Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers tried to keep the Packers' improbable run to the playoffs alive, but he threw a late interception that ultimately sealed the win for the visiting Lions. The 39-year-old turned in his worst season as a pro, finishing with 3,695 passing yards, 26 touchdowns and a career-high 12 interceptions across 17 games. Rodgers just signed a three-year extension with Green Bay prior to this season, but the former MVP used some language after the crushing loss hinting at either retirement or a mutual parting of ways. What is certain, however, was a visible and statistical decline from the 17-year veteran this season, likely dropping Rodgers out of the top tier of fantasy quarterbacks if he decides to suit up in 2023.

Rodgers (right thumb/knee) practiced fully Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
One day removed from sitting out Wednesday's walkthrough due to lingering right thumb and knee injuries, Rodgers returned to the practice field and handled every rep. He thus will be available for Sunday's matchup with a Lions defense that has given up an NFL-worst 7.96 yards per attempt and the second-most combined touchdowns (32) to opposing quarterbacks in 16 games this season.

Rodgers (right thumb/knee) returned to practice Thursday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers is managing thumb and knee issues, with his absence from Wednesday's practice having been described as a maintenance day by Hodkiewicz. Thursday's injury report will clarify the QB's official participation level, but at this stage Rodgers appears to be in no danger of missing Sunday night's game against the Lions.

Rodgers (thumb/knee) didn't participate in Wednesday's walk-through practice.
EDGE Analysis
For the second week in a row, Rodgers is kicking off game prep with no activity due to knee and right thumb injuries. On the first occasion, he followed it with a limited session last Thursday before capping Week 17 prep with full activity and heading into the weekend without a designation. He proceeded to complete 15 of 24 passes for 159 yards and one touchdown and a two-yard score on the ground in this past Sunday's win over the Vikings. Rodgers will aim to follow a similar practice regimen this week with an eye toward getting cleared for Sunday's all-important matchup with the Lions.

Rodgers completed 15 of 24 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown and added a two-yard TD on his only carry in Sunday's 41-17 win over the Vikings.
EDGE Analysis
Green Bay grabbed a 14-3 lead in the first quarter on kickoff return and interception return touchdowns and never looked back, so Rodgers didn't have to do too much to lock up the victory. He still produced multiple TDs for the first time since Week 12, and the veteran QB will likely be more involved in Week 18 against the Lions, as a Packers win would send them into the postseason.

Rodgers (thumb/knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
The knee injury is a recent addition from last Sunday's 26-20 win over Miami, while the thumb is something Rodgers has managed for a couple months, with reports at one point suggesting he has an avulsion fracture in the affected digit. Whatever the case, he hasn't thrown for 300 yards or run for a touchdown all season and has only one game with more than two passing touchdowns. Rodgers does get an excellent matchup in a must-win game for the Packers this week, though he might not have WR Christian Watson (questionable, hip) at his disposal against a Vikings defense that's given up the fifth-most points in the league to opposing quarterbacks.

Rodgers (thumb/knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out Wednesday's session due to a knee injury that he picked up during a Week 16 win at Miami, Rodgers participated in individual drills Thursday but still operated with a cap on his reps. Even if the same comes to the pass Friday, there doesn't seem to be any worry about his availability for Sunday's NFC North showdown with the Vikings. Ultimately, Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not Rodgers heads into the weekend with a designation.

Rodgers (right thumb/knee) returned to practice Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It remains to be seen how the Packers list Rodgers' participation level, but his return to the field after missing Wednesday's session supports the QB's expectation that he'll be available for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
